The American International School in Gaza المدرسة الأميركية الدولية -غزة

What Makes AISG Special?

At the American International School in Gaza, our students are the top priority. Every lesson plan, school activity, and administrative decision made within our workplace addresses the essential question: "What is best for our students?" We believe that it is imperative that our school be equipped to cater to the diverse and multicultural needs of every child in a manner that prepares them for what lies ahead.

History of Excellence

The American International School in Gaza has been providing a quality education for students in Gaza since 2000. Our staff, which consists of the highest quality local teachers, works closely with our administrative body to assure that each student is provided with an individualized learning experience. Our education perspective at AISG stems from the idea that contemporary people live and interact in an increasingly globalized world. For this reason, it is essential to give students a global education and provide them with an expanded world view. We believe that this approach allows our students to go forth in the world with the proper tools to succeed.

American Curriculum

By following the American curriculum program, we can ensure that international students are admitted into the most selective and competitive Universities and Colleges. For those families on the move, our students can also easily transition inside and outside of Palestine to any American school within the worldwide network of international schools.

Focus on Technology

AISG keeps abreast with the latest technology in education worldwide. In addition to a wireless Internet campus. Additionally, from Preschool through grade 12, students use iPads with specialized applications in the classroom, and specific e-Book curriculums. These resources help enhance the classroom experience, and help diversify the learning process in order to cater to our individual student needs.

Extracurricular Activities

In addition to a rigorous academic curriculum, the American International School in Gaza provides students with a plethora of opportunities to have fun outside of the classroom.  These include, but are not limited to, field trips, after school activities, and sports teams. The activities provided by the AISG encourage students to get the most out of their time with us.

Individual Academic & Guidance Counseling

Our highly qualified Academic Counselors follow the guidelines set forth by the ASCA (American School Counselor Association) model for comprehensive school counseling programs. This model uses student data to maximize academic, career, and personal-social development. The goal of our counselors is to promote and enhance the learning process for all students.  AISG Counselors ensure equitable access to a rigorous education and provide all students with both social-behavioral and academic-career guidance. Both individual and small-group counseling opportunities are available.

We Care for You

The focus of every administrator and educator at AISG is our students. Each child is seen as an individual with his/her own needs. For that reason, we offer support for English as a Second Language student (ESL) and Arabic as a Second Language (ASL) for those requiring extra help. We also offer support for Special Education students as part of our standard curriculum.

Continuous Improvement

We are constantly looking for ways to improve our programs and to keep our focus on the students’ needs. Feedback from parents and students is an important part of this work. Stakeholders at AISG are heavily invested in the well-being of our students and continuously aim to improve our teaching practices to ensure that the AISG environment is conducive to desired cognitive development.
