Admission Process
Thank you for your interest in the American International School in Gaza. We understand the challenges associated with finding the right school for your child. Therefore, whether your family is making an international move to Gaza, or your child is just changing schools, AISG is here to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Below, you will find a detailed description of what you and your child should expect during the admissions process.
The
Admissions Officer is responsible for meeting with the parents of
potential students, interviewing potential students. During your meeting
with the Admissions Officer, you will be provided with firsthand
information regarding academic programs, activities, and student
support. The Admissions Officer will also conduct an interview with the
student and their parents that will determine the preliminary admissions
decision.
The
Placement Exam allows us to evaluate the student’s academic
capabilities in English. Based on the results from this exam, the
Admissions Officer will determine the appropriate grade level for the
student.
Step 3: Complete Application Package and Return it to Student Affairs
Parents are given an application package with paperwork that can be filled out at home and returned to the school after completion. We advise that students are registered prior to each term or school year, as certain grade level sections may become full. In the event that a section is full, applicants may be placed on a waiting list.
In line with the American International School in Gaza’s non-discriminatory policy, admission is contingent upon the school program being suitable to the applicant. Admission criteria do not include factors such as race, nationality, religion, or gender when making final decisions.
