International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is aiming at promoting programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.
On Monday, 18th of November 2019 – AISG hosted “International Education Week” event, in coordination with AMIDEAST-Gaza.
The event aimed at promoting programs that prepare students for a global environment to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.
Through a presentation delivered by Mr. Akram Al-Baghdadi,
Educational Advisor at AMIDEAST, High School students learnt about study
opportunities in the U.S., including information on scholarships and exchanges
administered by the American Consulate General and AMIDEAST; standardized
testing; and applying for a student visa
During the fruitful day, students also met with alumni who shared their study and exchange experiences.
The day was concluded with an opportunity for students to visit several booths for different programs, where they asked questions and received answers.
